The conceivepleaseTM One Step LH Urine Ovulation Test

How does the conceivepleaseTM One Step LH Urine Ovulation Test work?

Ovulation is triggered by a surge in luteinising hormone (LH surge) from the pituitary gland around the middle of the menstrual cycle. The LH surge occurs between 24-to-48 hours before ovulation and can be measured in the urine.

The conceivepleaseTM One Step LH Urine Ovulation Test can be used to accurately pinpoint the time of ovulation by measuring the LH surge in urine.

When should I start testing?

In order to make the best use of the conceivepleaseTM One Step LH Urine Ovulation Test, it is important to firstly determine the length of your menstrual cycle. This is depicted by the number of days from the first day of your bleed to the day before your next menstrual cycle begins. Use the ovulation chart to determine when is the best time to commence testing. Each woman’s menstrual cycle differs – some women start ovulating eight days after the first day of their period, while for others, it takes longer. As a general rule of thumb, you may begin testing 11 days after your period.

There are five test sticks in one box to be used consecutively.

Use the chart below to determine when is the best time to start testing for ovulation with our ovulation sticks, based on the length of your cycle.

What time of day can I test?

You can test any time of day; however, you should test at the same time each day. Limit your fluid intake a few hours prior to testing because very diluted urine can give a false reading.

What does a positive reading mean?

A positive reading means that the concentration of LH in your urine is surging and ovulation is likely to occur between the next 24 to 48 hours.

What do I do if I have used all five of the tests and have not seen a surge?

For most women who have a regular menstrual cycle, testing for five consecutive days should be more than sufficient to detect an LH surge. However, should you have an irregular cycle, or are unsure of the length of your cycle, you may need to test for longer and therefore may require additional ovulation tests to detect your LH surge.

The conceivepleaseTM One Step HCG Pregnancy Test

How does the conceivepleaseTM One Step HCG Pregnancy Test pregnancy test work?

The conceivepleaseTM One Step HCG Pregnancy Test detects the pregnancy hormone in your urine, called HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, that is produced by the developing placenta.

How accurate is the conceivepleaseTM One Step HCG Pregnancy Test?

The conceivepleaseTM One Step HCG Pregnancy Test has been shown to be 99 per cent accurate.

What time of day can I test?

The concentration of HCG hormone is highest in the first urine sample of the day. Testing later in the day may give a false result.

How early can I test for a pregnancy?

An elevation in HCG levels in your urine can be detected as early as 10 days after conception, however for more accurate results it is recommended that you test for pregnancy from 12 days after conception.

What factors can affect the test?
  • Time
    • Wait 10 minutes to allow sufficient time to generate an accurate result
    • Testing later in the day when urine is more diluted may give a false negative result
    • A very early pregnancy containing extremely low concentrations of HCG can give a false negative result.
  • Medications - Certain hormone medications such as can mimic HCG elevation, giving a false positive result
  • Recent pregnancy - If you have recently been pregnant, you may get a false positive result
What should I do if the test shows I’m pregnant?

First of all, congratulations!

When there is a positive result indicating the presence of HCG in your urine, please visit your doctor to request a confirmatory pregnancy blood HCG test and for advice regarding your pregnancy and the necessary next steps. The conceivepleaseTM Ovulation and Pregnancy Planning Kit

How does the conceiveplease™ Ovulation & Pregnancy Planning Kit Work?

The conceivePlease ™ One Step Ovulation & Pregnancy Planning Kit is an aid in helping you conceive naturally. The kit contents contain 5 Urine LH Ovulation Tests to be used to determine your ovulation cycle. These tests are a fast, accurate and convenient method of determining your most fertile days and the most likely time for conception to occur.

The conceiveplease™ One Step Urine LH Ovulation Test detects the LH surge by measuring the level of luteinising hormone(LH) in your urine. If the surge is present, ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24-48 hours. This is your most fertile time and it is important to coincide sexual intercourse with this time frame to maximise your chances of conception.

The kit also includes two conceiveplease™ Urine HCG Pregnancy Tests to be used after ovulation to predict whether or not you have conceived.

The conceiveplease™ One Step HCG Urine Pregnancy Test is a rapid and sensitive test for detecting Human Chorionic Gonatotropin (HCG) in your urine.

A positive result indicates that your urine contains HCG and you can assume you are likely to be pregnant and should consult your doctor to confirm your pregnancy. A negative result indicates no HCG in your urine, meaning that you are not likely to be pregnant.

Before you begin please be sure to read the instructions of use inside the kit.

Who can use the Ovulation & Pregnancy Kit?

Woman who are trying to conceive their first, second or third child. They ideally need to have a reasonably regular menstrual cycle.

When should I begin using the LH Ovulation Tests in the Ovulation & Pregnancy Kit?

Before you begin please read the entire instructions. To find out when to begin testing your urine, first determine the length of your menstrual cycle. The length of your cycle is the number of days from the beginning of one period to the beginning of the next (count the first day of bleeding as day 1). Determine the usual length of your menstrual cycle over a few consecutive months. Then refer to the Cycle Chart in the instructions to determine on which day of the menstrual cycle to begin urine testingto determine ovulation. Continue to test your urine daily until the LH surge is detected. If you do not know your cycle length you may begin testing 10 days after your first period.

There are 5 LH ovulation test sticks in one box to be used on consecutive days until the LH Surge is detected.

How should I use the conceiveplease™ One Step Urine LH test?

Step 1: Remove the test device from its foil wrapper by tearing along the splice

Step 2: Remove the blue cap to expose the absorbent end & use it as soon as it is opened

Step 3: Hold the test handle and place the absorbent end downward into the urine stream for 10 seconds until it is wet

Step 4: Remove the ovulation test from the urine stream and replace the cap on the absorbent end

Step 5: Lay the ovulation test flat with the result window facing up, taking care not to invert the test. You should see pink colour bands moving across the viewing windows as the test begins to work.

Step 6: At five minutes, read the viewing windows and interpret the results using the written instructions of use.

How to Read your test results?

After each urine test colour bands will appear, and you must decide if you are having an LH surge and ovulating. To determine the result, you must compare the colour intensity of the pink colour bands of the Test band (T) to the Control band (C) in the RESULT WINDOW of the test stick. Below in figure 1 is an example of the result window.

  1. Positive reading for an LH surge and ovulating

If the test band in the result window is of equal or greater intensity (equal or darker) to the control band then there is a positive result, meaning that an LH SURGE is occurring and ovulation can be expected in the next 24-48 hours.

  1. Negative reading for an LH surge.

If the test band in the result window is of a lesser intensity (lighter) than the control band or cannot be seen, then the LH Surge is not happening.

  1. Invalid Result.

If no control band colour appears within 5 minutes, the test result is invalid and should be ignored. Repeat the test using another test stick.

What time of day can I do the Urine LH Ovulation test?

You may test at any time of the day, but you should test at the same time every day. Make sure to reduce your liquid intake 2 hours before testing as this may dilute the LH hormone in your urine and give a false reading.

Once I detect the LH surge what should I do?

The LH surge indicates you will probably ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. This is your most fertile time, and sexual intercourse should coincide with this time.

When to stop testing?

Unless otherwise specified by a doctor, stop testing your urine once the LH surge is detected on the test stick. Left over unused tests may be saved for use later.
